100WC Week 7!

We saw them, we heard them! Coming from every single direction, they were impossible to escape and we didn't have many options of where to go. Creeping from all the shadowy corners, alleyways and sewers. We needed help but where from and who?! My friend, my partner in crime said that their little brother in a worried and stressed voice said "he felt really ill.." I was scared, what if he had been bitten.. We had to get a vaccine and fast, I was worried and I didn't want my friend to be worried. We were in a zombie apocalypse.!

CAMP REFLECTION ! 2020

At Oamaru Intermediate the Year 8's here have just finished their EOTC Week last week, week five, where we had different activities for each day starting from Mon-Fri. Activities such as biking, high ropes, orokonui ecosanctuary, peel forest, and some activities that were done here at school. My favourite day was the Wednesday, when we went to do the high ropes and explore peel forest! It was my favourite day because I have never rocked climbed or done anything like that and I enjoyed it, I also had a cool group too. We traveled to Geraldine and went to Geraldine High School where the high ropes were, the instructors were friendly and the High Schoolers looked pretty chill. My group started at the Chicken which was the highest challenge to do and I completed it, it looks harder than it looks though. My least favourite day was Friday, the last day, I found it pretty boring some of the activities were alright but I think it could've been better. Overall it was a fun and cool week to have for our last year at Oamaru Intermediate!

Loud yelling, screaming and crying everywhere! My family and I were resting at home, watching movies and eating popcorn. Before the movie ended we heard loud screaming outside, my older brother told us to stay still and stay quiet.. He paused the movie and left, my family and I started to worry, after a while we heard the front door open and slam right after it opened. My older brother came running into the living room and told us to go to the basement and hide, we couldn’t say a word he said. We finally realised and then it began.

TERM 2 REFLECTION

1. One thing that I am proud of this term,

¬I am proud of my maths. In maths I think I have worked really hard and caught up to the level we were working on after lockdown.

2. What are three things I have done to be IDEAL this term?

¬One thing is trying or finishing my work on time. I try my hardest trying to finish my work because I find it unsettling when it looks unfinished. - Learn with purpose
¬Another one is getting involved in all different games and P.E rotations with my friends and classmates. - Dare to succeed
¬Asking when I am stuck. Last term I barely asked my teacher or the people around me for help but this term I think I am asking for help more often and that is probably why I am keeping up with my classmates and teacher! - Learn with purpose

3. How have I contributed to the caring classroom environment of Room 13?

¬I help others out. Whenever, if they are stuck on a question, don't know what to do in a game or if they had just come into class late.

4. What is one goal I have, related to my learning, for the rest of the year in Room 13?

¬One goal is trying to make my work neat and understandable. Such as things like writing neat in maths, writing etc and laying out things as best as I can.

5. Think about the holidays - what is one thing I am really looking forward to and why?

¬I am pretty excited about the different events I can do in the holidays like going to Volley games at the rec centre, as well as other things. I also don't need to worry about missing my alarm and being late to school..!

One day I was sitting on my bed, watching youtube as my feet were falling off the side of my bed. It was a normal day like no other with my brothers playing in the room beside mine, my mum and sister cooking in the kitchen downstairs as the godly smell came through the side cracks on my door, and my brother blasting music from the bathroom. My bedroom is upstairs if you couldn’t tell already and I have a huge window beside my bed. At about 7pm I was dancing and singing to songs and then I saw it.

I was going for a drive with my pals but suddenly stopped. The car had stopped in the middle of the road and we were nowhere near our destination. I said “ I am gonna go check out the engine, I think we ran out of fuel.” I went and checked out the engine. Turns out we had run out of fuel. Luckily we had bought some extra fuel in case this would happen. As I closed the engine, I turned around and there was a bear! It chased me to the back of the car, I called out for help.

Here, where I live there are many animals who have many special talents. Different animals had talents like Monkeys who can sing or Zebras who can dance! One day an Elephant needed help with his upcoming speech that he had to present to his school but he was struggling and asked for my help. Everyday the Elephant came over to my house and I helped him each day till the final day for him to present his speech. One day, after another it became closer to the day but soon enough he was ready.. Then the Elephant delivered his speech.
